Maddie and Theo have two things in common:
1. Alexa is their best friend
2. They hate each other
After an “Oops, we made a mistake” kiss, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa’s wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they’re comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won’t fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn’t looking.
But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don’t fall in love.

Cute, fun, enemies-to-lovers, summer read without the heaviness of an over sensualized affair.
I like best how you see the characters improve in their own lives. I love books that show a transition to something better in the characters personal/professional lives; ones that make you think a bit, “hey I could work a little on that too.”
The Wedding Date is charming and sweet. To add, it is also a quick read. If you go into it compared to the others in the series you may find it lacking in the sexual tension that the others had, but to me that makes it a great series with deeper character development. Not every relationship hinges on the down-there feels. Plus, I dislike when I read a series and all the different characters have the same personalities (tough, strong-willed, morose) or the same formula (boy meets girl, boy/girl get it on, they are in love), those come off as flat and underdeveloped. The Wedding Date Series is fresh and fun!
It is a great book on its own merit and you should definitely go into it with those expectations. In my opinion, (and an odd one) I think this one should be read first, then the others for the best overall experience.
